Abstract or abstract painting is a painting that has abstract forms. This means that the forms and colors used in these paintings are not intended to evoke an object that has an external value in the mind. Form and color do not refer to a reality outside the mind and are used as the only existing reality.
According to this definition, non-realist art is separated from realistic art. The realist art collection includes all the painting styles in which the form and shape evoke a reality outside the mind. Realism, Cubism, Impressionism, and many painting styles in which the form maintains its relationship with reality (even if this relationship is very weak) are considered to be among the branches of realistic art.
Where this connection is completely disconnected, non-realistic or abstract or abstract art begins.
